Wamala the only source of joy for his elderly mother

Having been born with cerebral palsy, wamala developed seizures at 6 months of age and due to limited access to medical care he never received early intervention which has left him with severe physical disabilities and intellectual deficits.

However with support from our hope international through Kicero uganda the boy has been able to get seizure medications and receive monthly food supplies. Wamala stays with his elderly mum and is always left at home alone as the mother has to go in search of other basics.

The mother testifies that since KICERO started working with her child she has noticed great improvement and this has brought a lot of hope and joy to her as her son is the only person around for to talk despite the poor language development of her child. The boy can only make sounds which the mother understands well especially when hungry or unhappy.

Please join our Rehabilitation team in bringing joy to the many children with multiple disabilities in the community!
