Moses’ Journey to Enhanced Mobility

Moses Mpongo, an 8-year-old boy, was born with spastic quadriplegia, a condition that affects his muscle tone and mobility. Despite his challenges, Moses has been receiving treatment and therapy to improve his quality of life. Since 2017, Moses has been attending therapy sessions at KICERO Uganda, where a team of dedicated professionals has been working with him to enhance his physical abilities.

The therapists have been using various techniques to help Moses build strength, flexibility, and control over his muscles.

While Moses has made progress, he still requires significant support in his daily life. He is completely dependent on others for all activities of daily living, including feeding, bathing, and dressing. His family is committed to providing him with the care he needs, but they recognize the importance of specialized equipment in enhancing his mobility and independence. A specialized chair and wheelchair would greatly benefit Moses, enabling him to interact with his environment and participate in activities that bring him joy.

With the right support and equipment, Moses can continue to grow and develop, despite the challenges posed by his condition. Moses’ family is hopeful that with the right resources, their son can achieve greater independence and participate more fully in family and community life. They believe that every child deserves the opportunity to reach their full potential, and they are grateful for the support they have received so far.
